From beautiful Germany comes the stunning Johanna Elisabeth Appel.  Johana is a medical student – though soon wrapping up her studies!  Between finding time to study she manager her site and Instagram which cover fashion, traveling and do-it-yourself projects.  She is a great read and amazing follow!

When did you launch Doctors Fashion Diary and what made you decide to get into fashion blogging?

I started blogging at the beginning of 2016. I was always fascinated by different fashion bloggers and already had an Insta account where I posted a lot of my every day outfits. After da big exam when I had some free time I decided now or never and started my blog.

When did your interest in fashion and beauty begin?

As long as I could think I loved fashion. As a teenager, I began to get inspired by fashion magazines or the website later on I started read a lot of fashion blogs. Now I feel so privileged to attend fashion shows for seeing the newest trends!

How have you developed your style?

My taste in fashion changed over the years! I think it had something to do with my age, my favorite blogs and my experience in life. I think my style needs to fit my every day. Sure, very exclusive pieces are always nice but I try to create looks women can wear and feel stylish in their everyday life.

What is the one essential item in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without?

A pair of well-fitting jeans.

How many looks do you shoot in a single day?

Usually I only shoot one look at a day, since I want everything to fit (nail polish, hair, makeup etc.). The max outfits I shot in one day are two outfits.

What camera do you use, and what do you use to edit your photos?

I use an Olympus Pen seven and I usually edit my pictures with the Apple photo program and Picasa. So, nothing really magic or fancy.

How long did it take you to grow your following?

This needs a lot of patience, love for what you do and time! I needed about 1 year for growing my Instagram to 10 k followers. I really enjoy seeing that people are interested in what I am doing / wearing and that people join my Insta/ read my blog everyday.

What are your 5 essential travel items?

Stylish sunnies, comfy but cute shoes, your camera, a bikini, sun protection

What’s a place you’d like to visit?

I would love to visit California, Mexico, Bali and Australia/ New Zeeland

What are your goals for Doctors Fashion Diary in 2017?

Since I finish university in June I would love to post more travel diaries and I hope to post outfits more frequently on my blog. Also, I am curious how I manage to blog and work as a doctor at the same time but I am positive about it, because I am passionate about both things!
