How’d you get into fashion blogging?

I know everyone says this, but it truly started as a hobby! None of my friends or family were interested in fashion like I was, so when Instagram came around it was awesome to connect with people interested in the same thing! Instagram became a wonderful way to see current fashion all around the world. Eventually, I started posting pictures as a fun hobby and made my blog a couple months later.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would describe my style as classic with a little edge. And never enough black or leather!

Tell me about one item that you bought this year that you just can’t live without?

The YSL college bag. I bought this bag solely for the top handle. Out of all my handbags, it is the most versatile, useful, and chic bag!

What beauty products can’t you live without?

I can’t live without the Clinique oil-free line of skincare. It is very gentle so it’s great for sensitive skin. As for makeup, I am a Dior mascara addict. Seriously, try it! My other makeup favorite is the Laura Mercier face illuminator. It adds a pretty glow to your skin and I always get compliments when I wear this highlighter.

What is your favorite social platform and why?

Hands down Instagram. I named my blog ‘Her Editorial’ because I started on Instagram sharing my life through curated fashion pictures, like an editorial. Also, with the addition of Instagram stories, there really isn’t a need to leave the app. All that’s missing is the dog filter!

Where are three of your favorite places to shop?

Zara, Forward by Elyse Walker, and Shopbop. I am definitely on an online shopper and these sites have my favorite selection and easiest shipping policies!

How do you stay current with what’s new or in style at the moment?

Pinterest is till one of the best places to get street style inspiration. I also like to look to fellow fashion bloggers.

What are your 5 essential travel items?

I always travel with my Canon 5d Mark IV, comfortable walking shoes, Origins no-rinse facemask for the plane, a leather jacket, and a travel humidifier. The humidifier sounds a little dorky, but hotel rooms are so dry that your skin will thank you!

If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?

To invest in classic, quality pieces that will last years instead of a trendy item that will only get worn once. I wish someone had taught me that years ago!

What’s your favorite thing to do in NYC?

Eat! New York has so many amazing restaurants. I have a growing list of places to try! My other favorite thing to do is walk everywhere. Everyday there is a new corner to discover, plus it makes it easy to stay in shape. Eat, walk, repeat!
