Joining us this morning was Amy Daniels.  Amy calls herself new to the scene but she’s made a great start! Amy’s a blogger based in London. If you would like to know a little bit more about her and how she got into blogging keep reading!  But make sure you visit her Instagram and help her hit her follower goal – she’s worth it!

How did I get into fashion blogging?

Well, I have always been a user of Instagram and other social media platforms (some would say I was addicted) however, the content I was posting was a lot more personal to me. Throughout secondary school I was studying art as a scholar therefore I always had an eye for fashion and photography. Around 6 months ago I decided it was time I took my hobby to the next level and I began blogging. It has proven to be challenging for me as I found it hard to grow my followers as well as finding the time to take photos. However, recently I’ve started posting good content which seems to be catching the attention of more people! My aim is to get to 10k followers by the end of the year…!

How would you describe your personal style?

A mixture between my twist on glam chic, as well as casual and cool. I am addicted to shopping in Zara! However, on the off days, you will usually find me in gym attire as I’m always off to a workout.

One item I bought this year that I can’t live without?

I bought a styling wand from José Eber and I kid you not my curls last for 3 days! Usually I find it difficult for curls in my hair to last even a whole day. Girls you all need one!

Do you have any beauty products I can’t live without?

In 2016 I found my love for Laura Mercier and the list of products I love could go on but my favorite is their oil free silk foundation. I get so many compliments on the flawless coverage and it is also great for anyone who has oily / acne prone skin.

A beauty blender – they’re just great!

Huda beauty lip liner trendsetter it’s perfect! If you don’t know Huda check her out on Instagram!

What is your favorite social media platform and why?

INSTAGRAM! Durh!

Because it is just amazing! You can follow all your friends, get style and beauty tips, and showcase your brand! (Also it is very addictive!)

What are your 3 favorite places to shop?

This is a tricky question. No.1 place is definitely Zara. I also tend to shop from any pages I love on Instagram such as the Australian brand Sabo skirt! And then I do love a pinch of designer too if I’m feeling lucky!

How do you stay current with what’s new in style at the moment?

Instagram is perfect for this. Anyone who knows me knows I barely put my phone down. I also read daily mail which in the UK features daily celebrity gossip and from there I also check out what they’re wearing!

What are your 5 essential travel items?

My camera! – I’ve recently bought myself an Olympus pen and am excited to start blogging with it more.

My sunnies- I usually have a different pair for everyday to go with each outfit!

The new la Roche posay face SPF is so lightweight you can barely feel it and it’s great for protection

A lovely holiday scent. These always remind me of the great memories from holidays. I’m off to Dubai tomorrow and I’ve treated myself to Tom Fords Santal blush!

Gym kit! With the amount of yummy foods I overindulge in a workout is a must!

One piece of style advice…?

Trial and error makes perfection and take inspiration from your style idols! Also don’t be afraid to shop online as this is where I find the most unique pieces which other people don’t have.

What is your favorite thing to do in London?

I love lazy Sundays shopping on the king’s road followed by a delicious Sunday roast in a pub. Yum!
