Straight from Spain we get to visit with Marta Handrich!  Marta is a fashion journalist via at OXXO Magazine and has a great presence on Instagram  Marta was awesome enough to give us some time and talk to us about her style and aspirations.  Give her a read below and make sure to follow her and try to keep up with her amazing styles!

When did your interest in fashion and beauty begin?

I’ve always been attracted to the fashion world. At the age of seven I already included bags in my outfits and I used to design dresses for my Barbies. I studied journalism to be able to dedicate myself to writing about fashion and trends.

When and why did you decide to become a fashion journalist?

I always liked writing, so I knew that my career had to be focused on writing. The subjects of journalism did not like me very much because none of them had anything to do with fashion. I still went into journalism to perfect my writing and learn more about the world of communication. There was a time when I wanted to be a fashion designer, but I do not know how to draw and I can´t put my ideas on paper.

How would you describe your personal style?

I can´t define my style. One day I get up like a princess and I feel like putting on some high-heeled shoes and a pink coat. The next day I want to go comfortable and put on a pair of Vans shoes and a sweatshirt. It all depends on my mood, but I always try to adapt the tendencies to my personality

Where do you find inspiration for your posts?

I think inspiration is everywhere. It all depends on the way you look at the world around you. I am very inspired by the cities, especially the streets of the old area

How do you stay current with what’s new or in style at the moment?

I am constantly reading fashion magazines. But I believe that fashion is created in the streets and we are the people that, without realizing it, we decided that it is a trend in every moment.

Do you prefer designer, vintage or highstreet?

I like to mix designer garments with other low cost pieces. I invest money in iconic purses that will never go out of style like Chanel 2.55 bag. I like to visit second hand stores and markets to give a different touch to my looks

Where are your favorite places to shop?

Zara and Mango are my favorite stores to buy clothes. In Paris I like to go to L’affayete because I find everything I want and I really want to go to “What goes around comes around” in New York, a second hand shop where there are real fashion treasures.

What is your favorite social platform and why?

My favorite social platform is Instagram because you can reach thousands of people quickly. It is very easy to use and allows direct and instant contact with everyone. It is also very visual and takes great care of the aesthetics of the images.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Valencia, Spain?

I love the weather in Valencia, the sun always shines and you can stroll along the beach at any time of the year. I love to stroll around the old part of town, stop to eat on some terrace and go to the cinema on Sundays.

If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?

Less is more
