How’d you get into fashion blogging?
Fashion has always been a part of my life since I was small. I took part in many singing and dancing performances at the age of 5 and always picked my own costumes for the shows. I first started my blog in 2006 as an e-diary to share about my life with close friends and family. After many friends asked me where I bought my clothes, I decided to write them on my blog instead of having to answer the same questions all the time. It slowly turned into a fashion blog without me realizing it.
Where do you find inspiration for your posts?
My inspiration comes from my daily life stories. Things I see and experience every day. I travel a lot for work and leisure so that’s the endless inspiration source for me.
Do you prefer designer, vintage or high street?
Whatever fits and makes me look good and feel good, I’ll take it.
What are the trends that you are currently coveting? Do you think you’ll love them next year?
I don’t follow trend so closely. My styles change as I go through different phrases in my life. Right now, I’m coveting pieces that are timeless and classic, which I believe they will stay with me in many years to come.
What is the one essential item in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without?
Denim jeans and a nice pair of heels.
Who is your fashion icon?
What’s your favorite fashionable movie?
Breakfast at Tiffany’s & Pretty woman
What camera do you use, and what do you use to edit your photos?
Canon 5D Mark iii & iPhone7. For photo editing, I use Snapseed &Color Story
How did you grow your Instagram following?
Be consistent, engaging, relevant, and unique.
What has changed most about fashion blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
Fashion blogging has become more popular nowadays compared to 6 years ago when I first started. It’s nice to see many brands/ advertisers acknowledge our work and effort rather than looking at us as someone who just wears beautiful clothes and loves taking photos. More fashion bloggers have turned their passion into a business which is wonderful.
